The Hann-Bun Kuro feather is used in Japanese-style Kyudo archery.
Gateway have supplied Japan this style of fletching for many years. Now they would like to make it available everywhere. This style of feather gives you a “spliced” look without the work.
The shield shape provides a different profile for increased stability, forgiveness and “Traditional” looking appeal.
